NASA International Space Apps Challenge

NASA, CSA, CNES, and JAXA invite you to “Take Action” from home on October 2-4, as part the celebration of our 9th annual hackathon.
For those in Benin City, Nigeria you are also invited to this annual celebration.
Space Apps is an international hackathon for coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, technologists, and others in cities around the world,where teams engage with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s free and open data to address real-world problems on Earth and in space.

In advent to the Covid-19 pandemic, this years hackathon would be hosted virtually.
We invite you today to be a hero in the midst of the storm and be courageous to hack hack hack till a solution is birthed from October 2nd - 4th, 2020.
Space Apps gives you the opportunity to bring projects to life for a wide range of applications. We are looking forward to seeing what innovative, creative ideas you bring to the community this year.
Space Apps is your chance to experience, experiment, and explore solutions to our universe’s biggest challenges!

Based on the success of the first all-virtual hackathon the Space Apps COVID-19 Challenge, which took place May 30-31, 2020, it demonstrated that a virtual Space Apps event can foster the learning, innovation, and collaboration of an in-person hackathon. 15,000+ participants joined from 150 countries who produced outstanding projects. There is this confidence that Space Apps 2020 will enjoy the same success.

Amazon is letting Companies create their own Alexa

Amazon is now letting companies create voice skills for use in the office with the launch of Alexa for Business. Members can use one of dozens of blueprints to create their own voice-activated commands on Alexa without having to write code. The voice apps will only be accessible to employees of their organization and can't be used on any devices outside the company. The blueprints include many of the questions employees regularly bug HR or IT desks about, including; "What's the guest WiFi password," "When does open enrollment start?" and "How do I set up email on my phone?" Other Alexa for Business blueprints can help with onboarding new employees, answer common questions, and even broadcast pre-recorded messages.
